Through structure and intensive recovery programs, The Extension helps homeless individuals overcome their addiction and work towards a more stable life. Not only do they provide housing, but they help place each client in a job with partner organizations and businesses around the Cobb County area.
The Extension’s program works in three distinct phases, each one offering more responsibility and independence than the last. The goal is to help clients overcome addiction and any underlying conditions, to develop skills for life and for career, to place them in a job that they can keep, and help them establish permanent housing.

Along with their outpatient substance abuse programs, Tangu also provides drug prevention awareness education services for the community.
